  FAQs

Are you a nonprofit?

Florals With Purpose is a for-profit business committed to hiring local college & high school students (because they are our earth's future and they could really use the $$), reducing waste, and spreading acts of kindness.  We charge clients for our in depth professional services.

Who receives the donated flowers?

We we will deliver your repurposed florals to facilities ranging from safe houses and hospices to cancer treatment centers and shelters—places where the joy of receiving a personal bouquet will be priceless.
We have identified local organizations to receive your donated flowers, however, we’re happy to work with you on a facility that is not on our list.

How many people at the facility receive my flowers?

That all depends on the number of arrangements you have. After you select the organization of your choice, we work with that facility to determine who best to deliver the flowers to. For example, if it's a large nursing home, our team will decorate common areas so that all of the residents can enjoy the beautiful florals.

When do I need to reserve your services?

We ask that you reserve our service 60 days prior to your event, especially if it's wedding season.

What if I rented my vases from the florist?

Great question. We will work with your florist and ensure that all rented items are returned to their facility.

How much does your service cost?

Your quote will be based on the venue location, volume of flowers and number of deliveries. We also offer an "as is" service for small table centerpieces (that are in recyclable containers) to be delivered to the organization of your choice as they were seen at your event. The minimum fee for repurposing starts at $1150.

What will my repurposed flowers look like?

Our employees go through extensive training with our expert florist. Not to mention they are working with an existing foundation, not designing from scratch. Also, you will receive photos of the facility with your delivered flowers. Trust us, you will be very happy.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations to nonprofit organizations are tax deductible according to IRS regulations, and your donation covers both the cost of the flowers and haulage to and from our nonprofit beneficiaries. The beneficiary will send you an acknowledgment letter regarding the details of your donation. Consult your tax professional for further information.

What is composting and why is it necessary?

Composting materials (like food scraps and yard waste) is a great way to keep waste out of landfills, and it also creates material that can be added to soil to help plants grow. Landfills are really crowded, they take up space and release methane, a potent greenhouse gas that is very harmful to the earth. Composting lowers your carbon footprint, which means you are helping mother nature protect our planet.
